In Östra Göinge Municipality, we have a shared Staffing Unit for the municipality's operations, where our primary task is to cover short-term absences.

Job Description

We at the Staffing Unit are looking for unqualified teachers who can step in with short notice to support our primary and lower secondary schools as needed. Östra Göinge's schools have the following priority areas; Reading, Future Dreams, and Safe and Secure School. As an unqualified teacher, you will become an important part of this work. You get a unique opportunity to:

Our Schools

Here are the schools you may cover as an unqualified teacher:

• Glimåkraskolan in Glimåkra is a school for grades F-6. The schoolyard is large with many green areas and close to nature and forest.
• Prästavångsskolan F-3 has approx. 210 students and Prästavångsskolan 4-6 has approx. 170 students. Both schools are centrally located in Broby within walking distance to the bus station.
• Göingeskolan is a grades 7-9 school with approx. 250 students located centrally in Broby.
• Snapphaneskolan in Knislinge is a grades 4-9 school with approx. 420 students. The school is located in the green heart of Scania and has an appealing outdoor environment that invites to many activities.
• Kviingeskolan in Hanaskog is a school for grades F-6. The school is centrally located in the small village with good bus connections.
• Västerskolan in Knislinge is a grades F-3 school with approx. 225 students. The lovely outdoor environment is used extensively in both the school's and the leisure center's activities.
• Vita skolan is a small adapted school in Knislinge where teaching takes place in smaller groups.

Regardless of which school you work in, you are responsible for how much you want to work by making yourself available in our booking system, Medvind. You are expected to be available for at least 16 hours per month.

Qualifications

You who apply are at least 18 years old, have a completed upper secondary education or equivalent, preferably within child and youth care. Adult education or vocational training is considered equivalent to upper secondary education and/or relevant working life experience after individual assessment.

It is meritorious if you:

• Are studying on the teacher education program.
• Have relevant experience of work within schools.

You will get insight into many of the municipality's operations, and you need to have the ability to treat this insight with respect and humility. It is also important that you share our values and see your role as a support/helping hand to the municipality's operations in the municipality's work to make our customers satisfied and proud.

To thrive with us, you must be able to take initiative at your temporary workplace, be receptive, pedagogical, and flexible. This role is for you who naturally take on the leadership role and want to make a difference in the daily life of children and young people. You are engaged and responsible with a genuine interest in school and learning. In your assignment as a substitute, you are expected to be able to work in all our schools in the municipality. You need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You are also accustomed to using the computer as a tool in your work. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to your own car.

To get the employment, you must produce an extract from the police's criminal record register since our operations take place within Östra Göinge Municipality's schools.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Personal suitability will be decisive in the recruitment.
