About the position

We are investing in special education at Skönadalsskolan! We are now looking for a colleague to join our special educational needs team, where you will become one of our four special needs teachers/special educators who want to work together with us to give our students the best conditions for success. As a special needs teacher with us, you work closely with teachers and students. You should be interested in teaching both individually and in small groups, but also working more strategically and providing guidance to teachers, resources, EHT (special needs coordinators), and school management. Together with the others on your team, you are responsible for special support at the school.

In your role, you are expected to contribute to the school's long-term development through preventive and systematic work at the organizational level, while also having "your own" responsibilities. This allows you to build relationships and have good opportunities to influence working methods among those you work closest with, while always having your special educational needs team nearby for support and collaboration.

The position is aimed at grades F-3 (Preschool Class to Grade 3). Depending on your qualifications, you will complement the rest of the team in different ways, and your assignment will be defined in dialogue with you based on your skills and the school's needs.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher, preferably with a special needs teacher degree and previous experience working in grades F–3. You have chosen to further educate yourself because you want to work compensatorily, with heart in the right place, to provide support or help others provide support, and because you enjoy building a working method that gives every student the prerequisites to learn.

We are looking for you who take a holistic perspective and are open to development. You are a key person at the school! We want you to be skilled in analysis and able to prioritize tasks. You are responsible and communicative, a good colleague who enjoys collaborating with others. At the same time, you should be able to take leadership when needed and mentor colleagues.

For support, you have a very competent and engaged collegium where collaboration and student focus are a given.

About the employment

Start date in August 2026 or according to agreement.
