Within the Department of Children and Families, specifically the Parental Insurance business area, our mission is to provide families with children with better conditions for economic security by efficiently and with high quality deciding on and paying out benefits. Within the Parental Insurance benefits, we have approximately 1,100 employees, we handle around 1 million incoming customer contacts, and make approximately 8 million decisions annually, which are handled legally secure and promptly.

Analysis, Management Support, and Development Work

In your role as a Controller at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you are responsible for ensuring that area managers and unit managers have access to the support required to lead and manage operations. The role of Controller also involves managing both operations, economy, and resources. This means you are responsible for analyzing and interpreting production flows, operational results, and financial results within your area of responsibility.

You serve as a central support for production and resource management, contributing to efficient resource utilization, for example by creating production plans or flow analyses. At the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, we actively work with continuous improvements. You participate in relevant forums and networks both within the department and at the agency. The work also involves preparing materials for follow-up, and you contribute to local development work in the area where you are a business-close support. You regularly visit local sites for dialogue and support for teams and units. You are also part of the area's management group. As an employee at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you have a high level of security awareness as the agency deals with confidential information.

  • have a university degree or experience and qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent
  • have specialist knowledge within parental insurance

  • collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals
  • have a systematic and meticulous working method.

It is meritorious if you

  • have experience working as a controller, within economics and operational management
  • have experience working business-close and providing management support in a complex environment
  • feel confident presenting and driving dialogue in management groups
  • have good pedagogical skills
  • have experience working as a controller, preferably within a larger authority
  • are proactive and accustomed to change management.

Other Information

One position, permanent, full-time, with start date according to agreement. Probationary period may apply. Some positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive operations. To be employed in such a position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) is required.

In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks are conducted in this recruitment. Remote work opportunities exist if the work allows. In this recruitment, psychometric tests may be used as part of the selection process. Location: Kalmar.

Interviews are planned to be held in week 34.
