The Fortification Agency is looking for an Operations Coordinator for the Business Development Group within the Project Staff. The Fortification Agency is a government agency with the mandate to provide defense-related agencies with secure properties. We own and manage our unique and extensive property portfolio located throughout Sweden, and we build new facilities when our tenants need them. The Fortification Agency has its headquarters in Eskilstuna, where the agency's management and the project department are primarily based.

The Project Staff acts as the extension of the Department Head in the steering, planning, and follow-up of the department. Here lies the responsibility for the department's budget, forecasts, follow-up, training activities, development of working methods, etc. Within the Project Staff, in addition to the Operations Coordinator, there are also Business Developers, Project Administrators, and Project Controllers.

Your daily life as an Operations Coordinator in the Project Staff

As an Operations Coordinator, you will work closely with other colleagues in the staff, particularly with other Operations Coordinators. You will also have contact with project managers and employees in other units. Your direct manager is the Group Manager for Business Development within the Project Staff. You will be a key support in developing and implementing process changes and new working methods. You will be partially responsible for continuously updating supporting documents, templates, etc., in the management system as we develop. You will work with the department's training activities related to your area and conduct internal training sessions and workshops with, among others, our project managers.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a college or university education focused on construction/real estate or other education considered equivalent by the employer. Alternatively, several years of work experience that builds up to competence assessed as equivalent by the employer. In addition to the aforementioned educational requirements, you have previous experience from the construction industry (e.g., within contracting or design) and have knowledge of contract law. You have good administrative skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience working in IT systems. We also want you to have experience in training others, good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written), and a valid Class B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have worked with a government agency's management system, project management, and change management. We would also appreciate if you have worked with communication and safety planning. If you have knowledge of the Fortification Agency's and the Swedish Armed Forces' operations, it is an advantage.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be war-placed. The primary location is Eskilstuna. For the right person, a different location can be discussed. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. Security clearance with register check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
