Allica Bank exists to give small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the bank they deserve. SMEs are the backbone of the British economy, but have long been caught between banks built for individuals and those built for large corporations. We are changing that, with in-house technology and genuine customer relationships.

Since 2019, we have grown to become the fastest-growing fintech company in UK history. We are profitable, growing rapidly, and closed a $155 million Series D funding round in February 2026 to finance our international expansion. Sweden is our first market outside the UK.

Over the past few years, we have rebuilt the entire Allica banking experience from the ground up and created the product platform that now underpins our international expansion. As our first Product Designer in Sweden, you will play a key role in adapting and further developing the experience for Swedish businesses.

The Role

As Allica’s first Product Designer in Sweden, you own the customer experience for Swedish businesses, while becoming part of an established design team of around 20 people in the UK. You will work in the product team for Business Rewards Account, our flagship account for SMEs, and report directly to the Director of UX and Design in the UK.

The core of the role is to adapt our customer experience to the Swedish market and its local requirements – without compromising on the product’s simplicity and elegance. You will have significant freedom to drive the direction yourself in a role where not all answers are known from the start. Specifically, you will:

  • Drive the design vision within your product team, taking complex UX problems from idea to launch with full ownership

  • Independently plan and conduct user research, translating insights into product strategy

  • Explore AI-based tools to enhance efficiency and quality in the design process, sharing learnings with the rest of the organization

  • Contribute to the design system and elevate design culture through mentoring and collaborative learning

You likely have...

...at least four years of experience in product design for digital products and strong proficiency in Figma. Experience with AI tools such as Claude Design/Code, Codex, or similar is a plus. You work iteratively, use customer feedback to learn quickly, and thrive in fast-paced environments. You build trust with various stakeholders and are comfortable navigating between user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to drive the product forward.

Experience in fintech or financial services is a plus, but not a requirement. Curiosity about complex domains weighs heavier. You must be fluent in spoken and written Swedish and comfortable communicating in English.

  • You don’t need to tick every box

Do you not meet all the skills or requirements in the job ad? Don’t worry if you don’t! If you believe this role is right for you, we would love to hear from you.

  • Flexibility in everyday life

We know that everyone works best in different ways and that life outside of work looks different for everyone. Therefore, Allica Bank offers flexibility in how you plan your working day. Please tell us what works best for you, and we will do our best to find a solution that works for both you and the team.

  • Diversity

We believe that the best teams consist of people with different experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives. At Allica Bank, we want everyone to feel welcome and be able to be themselves at work.

Is this your next challenge? We’d love to talk. The selection process is ongoing, apply directly here!
