Do you want to contribute to developing the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority's (FI) work with digital information management and long-term preservation? Are you an experienced archivist with competence in electronic archiving and digital preservation? Then this might be the role for you.

About the job

As an IT archivist, you are responsible for ensuring that FI's digital information is preserved correctly and remains readable over time. You work together with the authority's other two archivists and play a key role in developing the authority's digital information management.

FI plans to introduce an electronic archive system during 2027, which means you will be involved in developing and implementing processes for digital deliveries, information transfer, and requirement setting for business systems.

The role includes managing solutions for digital long-term preservation, ensuring that information from decommissioned systems is preserved in accordance with current legislation and disposal decisions, and contributing archival expertise during the development and procurement of new business systems.

You also work with metadata structuring and the development of routines that ensure the authority's information is accessible, searchable, and reliable over time.

The work involves close collaboration with business operations, IT functions, and external suppliers.

Your education and experience

We are looking for someone who has

  • an academic degree with archival science as the main subject, or other education or experience that we assess as equivalent
  • several years of experience working as an archivist in the public sector
  • documented experience working with electronic archiving in the public sector
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have

  • studies in systems science, digital preservation, or other education that we assess as relevant.

About you

In this role, you need to

  • take initiative and drive development issues forward
  • plan, organize, and prioritize your work in a structured manner
  • have a long-term perspective and contribute to the development of the operations
  • work independently with high integrity and good judgment.
