The library serves as a natural meeting place on campus and as a hub for information dissemination at Stockholm University. Approximately 33,600 full-time equivalent students, 1,200 active doctoral students, and 5,400 employees work here.

The University Library is structured as a network organization with self-organizing work groups centered around user needs. These work groups form the backbone of the organization. As an employee, you participate in operational development and environmental scanning, taking significant responsibility for both daily operations and strategic work. Our operations are broad, ranging from traditional library services to, for example, research data management, publishing activities, and the university's archives and registry services.

Job Description

Do you want to help develop the library's educational activities? We are currently seeking a Teaching Librarian who wishes to contribute to and further develop our work supporting students and researchers, both generally and with a specific focus on support for systematic reviews.

As a Teaching Librarian at the Stockholm University Library, you will become part of an engaged team of six people. Together with them, you will work with students and researchers, providing instruction, search guidance, open courses, and creating digital learning resources. We also see a need to develop our support regarding AI-based tools.

A central part of the role will be to collaborate with colleagues to develop the support we offer researchers in their work with systematic reviews and other literature reviews. We primarily offer advice on developing search strategies, but we see a need to provide more support to researchers. You will have good opportunities to influence how this support is structured.

The work also involves close collaboration with other groups within the library that work with research support.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • An academic degree in Library and Information Science
  • Several years of experience in teaching and search guidance, in both Swedish and English, at university libraries or special libraries
  • Experience with search assignments, particularly regarding systematic reviews

Meritorious qualifications include:

  • Experience in developing various types of digital learning resources
  • Experience with reference management software such as Zotero and EndNote
  • Experience with screening tools
  • Knowledge and interest in various AI-based search tools

You are outgoing and relationship-building, with an interest in building and developing collaborations. You have an analytical and innovative approach and can contribute new perspectives.

About the Position

The position is permanent and full-time, with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date during autumn 2026.
