The Rheumatology Clinic is one of several operations within the Heart, Neurology, and Rehabilitation area. Our operations are conducted at Remonthagen, located approximately 2 km from Östersund Hospital. Östersund Rehabilitation Centre also houses a rehabilitation department, outpatient rehabilitation, and a pain unit.

The Rheumatology Clinic is a specialist clinic for the investigation, care, and treatment of patients with confirmed or suspected rheumatic inflammatory disease. The unit consists of extensive outpatient activities and has access to an inpatient ward on the rehabilitation department when inpatient care is needed. Our operations consist of a multidisciplinary team comprising doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants at our own laboratory. Outpatient care is provided in the form of individual visits, day care, and some group activities.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary with us, you will become part of a team consisting of four medical secretaries.

The work as a medical secretary with us involves, among other things, writing medical records, handling other Cosmic-related matters, waiting lists, mail handling, appointment booking, telephone service, as well as handling referrals and, to some extent, reception duties.

We continuously work on improving and developing our operations. We offer you interesting and developmental work in a stimulating environment with competent and experienced staff and colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a medical secretary. Previous experience in the profession, as well as knowledge of the medical record system Cosmic, waiting list management, booking from the waiting list, and DRG coding, are meritorious.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability. We are looking for you who have good teamwork skills, good ability to plan and organize your work in an efficient manner, have a positive basic attitude, are flexible, responsible, and have the ability to see the big picture.
