The Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS) are looking for a Logistics Officer.

About the unit

The Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS) has five units that perform operations and maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' command systems. Implementation Unit North is one of them. The unit has a geographical spread that largely covers Norrland (Northern Sweden) and is staffed with both military and civilian personnel.

The Implementation Division Sollefteå operates from the towns of Sollefteå and Östersund and consists of two sections with different focuses. As a Logistics Officer, you belong to the division management and report directly to the Division Commander. The division's main work is primarily preventive and corrective maintenance.

About the position

The work consists of independently and together with the sections supporting logistics so that the right conditions exist within the division. The majority of tasks will be related to material services, both practically and in digital support systems.

Logistics within the Swedish Armed Forces has many functions, including supply of provisions, technical service, and transport service, which will shape your tasks.

Certain internal training in specific work areas is provided by the Swedish Armed Forces.

Main responsibilities:

• Plan, lead, and conduct follow-up of logistics within your own division.
• Plan, lead, and conduct follow-up of the technical service within your own division regarding material maintenance on the division's own material.
• Plan and lead the annual inventory of the division's material.
• Participate in material planning for the unit's short- and long-term needs.
• Administer, report on, and follow up material in the Swedish Armed Forces reporting systems (LIFT and Prio).
• Support the Division Commander in planning, e.g., mobilization, infrastructure, etc.
• Support the Division Commander in daily work within the framework of the division's tasks.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Logistics education that the employer finds relevant.
• Good knowledge of English and Swedish.
• Driver's license category B or higher – manual transmission.

Merits

• Knowledge of the support system PRIO (SAP) regarding material and supply of provisions as well as technical service.
• Knowledge, skills, and experience of logistics work regarding the Swedish Armed Forces' material, both practically and administratively.
• Knowledge and skill in working with signal security, preferably as a signal security instructor.
• Military driving license for heavy trucks, wheel loaders, light passenger cars, heavy trailers.
• Driver's license categories BE, C, CE.
• Military vehicle instructor.
• Knowledge and experience of the LIFT system.
• Completed conscription service.
• Previous service in the Swedish Armed Forces.

Other

• Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probation period for those not already employed by the agency.
• Work location: Östersund.
• Employment level: Full-time. The position is civilian.
• In the Swedish Armed Forces, the position is referred to as Drifting Engineer.
• Travel within the service occurs both in Sweden and abroad.
• Start date: Immediately or by agreement.
