Tooling Preparation Specialist / Production Technician for the Defense Industry in Linköping

We are now looking for a Tooling Preparation Specialist / Production Technician for the defense industry in Linköping. This is a role where you combine technical expertise with the development of efficient working methods and production processes.

About the role

As a Tooling Preparation Specialist, you will become an important part of an engaged team where collaboration between design, logistics, and production is central. You will work on projects involving production technology work for tools and test equipment for aircraft and other advanced products within the defense industry.

In this role, you will:

Manage design documentation and assess manufacturability
Optimize lead times and material usage
Develop and improve working methods for efficient and high-quality production
Maintain close dialogue with procurement to identify the right suppliers
Work with 3D and CAD tools as well as business systems such as ERP/IFS
Contribute to technical development in a forward-looking and innovative environment

What we are looking for

We are looking for you who have experience in production technology work, preferably with a focus on tooling. You have relevant education or equivalent work experience and are accustomed to working in CAD environments and technical systems.

You are:

Driven, curious, and development-oriented
Precise, systematic, and self-starting
Communicative and skilled at building good relationships
Accustomed to taking initiative and seeking the information needed to solve tasks efficiently

Meritorious qualifications:

Experience from workshop work (milling, turning, grinding)
Background as an operator with a desire to take the next step
Experience from procurement roles
Good understanding of mechanical machining

You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
