Job Description

We are now looking for you who want to work as a care assistant in a group home on Vinbärsvägen (Hovshaga). As a care assistant, you are part of a team with 10 colleagues who together provide top-class care. Five people of different ages with various disabilities live on Vinbärsvägen.

The care assistants ensure that residents in the group home receive the care they want and need. The work also involves the manager, planners, support educators, nurses, and rehabilitation staff.

Duties include working in a structured, pedagogical, and communicative manner, as well as helping with transfers and nursing care. Tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation are also part of the role. Some residents require extensive HSL (Health and Social Care Act) services, which requires good physical fitness. You will become part of a team that focuses heavily on developing care for the residents and the operations. Vinbärsvägen is a small group home in a cozy, homely environment.

The role includes handling administrative tasks such as documentation and scheduling.

We work on a 6-week rotating schedule with the possibility to influence the schedule based on operational needs. Work includes every other weekend, as well as day and evening shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who truly wants to work with people with disabilities and sees the appeal of providing support in a group home. You are positive and understand the importance of a holistic perspective in operations. You work together with colleagues towards set goals, but are also independent in tasks that require it. You share your experience, bounce ideas around, and are not afraid of development.

We are looking for someone with appropriate education for the field, for example, as a nurse assistant (undersköterska).

Experience with disabilities and work in group homes or similar facilities is meritorious. We also appreciate that you have experience and good skills in the administrative tasks included in the job.
