Do you want to contribute to safety and well-being for our 11,000 tenants?

We are now looking for a coordinator for the team that serves as the hub for safety and well-being work at Vidingehem. You will be part of an expert group working operationally with housing social issues, such as disturbances, incorrect rental conditions, and eviction prevention measures. Together, we create safety within and between buildings through close dialogue with tenants, social services, the police, and other authorities.

Who is Vidingehem?

We are just over 140 employees dedicated to being present in daily life to make housing simple and comfortable for our tenants. We are proud of our good corporate culture and offer a pleasant and forward-looking workplace.

As part of Växjö Municipality and as Växjö's public housing company, we take active environmental and social responsibility and are an important part of sustainable development in our city. With a focus on our tenants, our employees, and a sustainable future for the entire municipality, we create quality of life and safety.

Job Responsibilities

In this permanent position, you will:

  • Investigate housing social cases from receiving documentation from a tenant or other person until the case is fully investigated and concluded.
  • Work on the ground and maintain close dialogue with tenants and colleagues to find constructive solutions to emerging situations.
  • Serve as a support function to other departments within the company regarding housing social issues.
  • Implement eviction prevention measures and investigate suspected subletting.
  • Participate in dialogue initiatives such as neighborhood meetings, safety walks, holiday activities, consultation meetings, presence at meeting places, or other active engagement.
  • Provide support in reporting concerns or giving tips to the relevant authorities for further action when needed.
  • Work proactively with tenants and colleagues to ensure high well-being in our residential areas.
  • Collaborate with authorities such as the Police, Social Services, Debt Enforcement (Kronofogden), the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the Tax Agency.

The role involves handling complex situations and meeting people in vulnerable life situations. Therefore, you need to be secure, professional, and able to make well-founded decisions even in challenging cases.

You will work together with four coordinators, a meeting place developer, a well-being ambassador, and a manager. Together, you form Vidingehem's Housing Social Group, a function that is constantly developing. The Housing Social Group is part of the company's Marketing Department, and we collaborate actively with the entire housing company and the Växjö Municipality group.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who have:

  • A relevant academic background in social work (sociology/social services) or similar, and a few years of experience working with social issues.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • A valid driver's license (Category B).

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience in public authority operations or qualified investigations within social work.
  • Knowledge of Arabic.
  • Very good experience in collaboration within public operations.

About You

We believe you are:

  • Engaged and driven: It is evident that you care about social issues and, consequently, about people.
  • Curious and open: You want to learn, appreciate collaboration, but also enjoy working independently.
  • Adaptable to pace changes: You can quickly switch from planned work to urgent incidents.
