About Unika LSS Care

We are looking for new employees for our operations in Växjö and Hovmantorp.

The operations target two different groups of people; 1. adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism and 2. permanent physical or mental disabilities that cause significant difficulties in daily life.

Each facility has space for 4-6 users, and our methodological work is based on the core principles of the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). About the Role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually adapted support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support the users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, where we start from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for the users to achieve as much independence as possible and be able to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clear pedagogy and low-affective handling to create security and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening manner, and you enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
  • Experience working in healthcare and social care.
  • Upper secondary education such as Child and Youth Program, Care and Health Program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogy, social pedagogy, or university education in a relevant field.
  • Experience in psychiatry and low-affective handling.
Employment Conditions

Employment Type: Permanent position
Part-time/Full-time: 80-100%
Working Hours: Days, evenings, weekends
Start Date: According to agreement, we are positive if you can start soon.
Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.

We apply a probationary period of 6 months.
