Mariestads drift- och servicebolag AB is a company tasked with creating value throughout the Mariestad municipal group – for our common customers: residents, businesses, visitors, as well as operations within the municipal group.

Through close collaboration with the group's companies and departments, we coordinate and develop operations and services that contribute to a well-functioning, safe, and attractive Mariestad – with care for the city, the people living and working here, and the customers we serve.

Our business areas include Operations and Projects, Premises Cleaning, and Servicecenter. It is within the Servicecenter area that we are now seeking a Municipal Guide with Team Leader responsibilities. Servicecenter is the first point of contact for citizens, businesses, and visitors via email, phone, and in-person visits at our reception in the City Hall. The Municipal Guides answer all incoming calls for the Municipality of Mariestad, the property company Mariehus, and the energy company VänerEnergi.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you work with the daily operational activities in the municipality's service center, ensuring good accessibility, legally secure handling at the first line, and professional and equal treatment of residents, business owners, and visitors. The role contributes to realizing the municipality's service commitment and values.

The position as a Municipal Guide also includes team leader responsibilities, which involve operational management, daily operations, scheduling and staffing planning, sick leave reporting, and absence management. Additionally, you are responsible for the distribution and reprioritization of work within the team, as well as working with quality, legal security, and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be a good fit for this position, you should enjoy handling a wide variety of questions and be able to guide and answer inquiries received via phone in a service-oriented manner. We look for you to have a background in other service professions, not least from work at a switchboard.

You thrive in a sometimes fast-paced environment, are a quick learner, positive, and patient, and have a keen sense for service and administration. We assume you have the ability to explain things in an informative and pedagogical way, which requires good language skills. Being multilingual is also an asset.

Experience from working in contact centers, customer service, or public service is meritorious. We also expect you to have good knowledge of municipal operations, public administration, as well as good digital competence and system familiarity. Experience working in a politically governed organization and in change and improvement work is meritorious. Furthermore, knowledge of the principle of public access to official records (Offentlighetsprincipen) and the Administrative Procedure Act is meritorious.

You are structured, solution-oriented, with the ability to make decisions within given frameworks. You have high integrity and an understanding of legal security. You have a relationship-building, coaching approach and are clear, confident, and communicative.
