About the workplace

Here, you will become part of a small, close-knit unit of nine employees. We have a strong sense of community and a daily routine characterized by a fast pace, variety, and complex premises issues that require both analysis and collaboration. The unit works strategically and across the municipality in close cooperation with all departments, providing a dynamic work environment with many contact points and the opportunity to influence the municipality's long-term development.
The unit's tasks include among other things:
- Strategic planning and developing proposals for measures to ensure the municipality's long-term premises needs.
- Annually updating and developing the municipality's premises supply plan.
- Responsible for the implementation of new, renovation, and extension projects – from preliminary studies to completed and handed-over projects.
- Managing the administrative management related to internal rental agreements according to the municipality's decided internal rental model.

Job Description
As a Premises Strategist, you play a central role in long-term planning and development of Ale Municipality's premises supply together with the Head of Premises Supply. The assignment involves overall responsibility for premises planning within all business areas. You work proactively to ensure that the municipality's premises are used in an efficient, sustainable, and appropriate manner. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with both internal and external actors, where you contribute a strategic perspective in early stages as well as in ongoing development efforts.
In addition to leading the work on developing the municipality's premises supply plan, the following tasks are included:
- Monitor detailed plans and analyze and respond to consultations.
- Support project managers in the early stages of construction and development projects.
- Conduct active environmental scanning.
- Act as the administration's internal premises planner.
- Lead premises development projects.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have post-secondary education, such as academic education in the area that the employer deems relevant. You have experience working in premises supply, property, urban planning, or other related activities. If you have had the role of Premises Strategist and/or worked in a politically governed organization, we consider it an advantage. A B-driving license is required.
To succeed in the role, you are self-reliant and structured, and have the ability to drive your work forward with good results. You are flexible and secure and can handle changed conditions while maintaining a strategic and long-term perspective. You easily build relationships and collaborations and thrive in a role with many contact points. With your holistic view and analytical ability, you translate the needs of operations into concrete and sustainable solutions.

The position is full-time with appointment according to agreement. Probation may be applied.
