On behalf of our client, we are now looking for a Strategic Buyer for a high-tech and international industrial environment focused on long-term supply capability and complex business operations.
This is a consulting assignment for you who want to take on a strategic role in an organization where purchasing is a central part of the business and where collaboration between technology, production, and the supplier base is crucial for success.
About the Assignment
As a Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for developing and driving business and purchasing strategies within technically advanced areas. The role entails overall responsibility throughout the entire commercial process – from strategy and supplier dialogue to negotiation, contracts, and follow-up.
You work closely with several parts of the organization, such as development, production, project management, and aftermarket, in an environment characterized by long-term perspective, high quality requirements, and international collaborations.
The assignment includes among other things:
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing and sourcing strategies
- Drive commercial dialogues and negotiations with suppliers
- Establish and manage contracts in complex and technology-intensive businesses
- Lead and coordinate supplier work in close collaboration with internal functions
- Follow up on supplier performance related to quality, cost, delivery, and long-term capacity
- Contribute to the development of sustainable and robust supplier relationships
- Work strategically with total cost, risk, and supply security
We are looking for you who
Have experience in strategic and business-driven work within purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or contract management, and who thrive in an environment where technology and business go hand in hand. You are accustomed to working cross-functionally, have a structured approach to work, and are driven by creating long-term value in complex businesses.
Requirements
- University degree in economics, engineering, or another relevant field
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or similar business-driven roles
- Experience in negotiation and contract work in complex organizations
- Good understanding of business and strategic perspectives related to the supplier base and total cost
- Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
- Swedish citizenship is a requirement
Meritorious
- Experience from technology-intensive industry, such as defense, aviation, manufacturing, or advanced production
- Experience with international supplier relationships
- Understanding of project-oriented operations and complex supply chains
