We are now looking for a Strategic Buyer for an exciting consulting assignment with one of our clients in Linköping. Here, you will play a key role in a technology-intensive and international environment where strategic procurement is crucial for the company's continued development.

💼 About the role

As a Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for developing and driving business and procurement strategies within technically advanced areas. You have end-to-end responsibility throughout the procurement process – from strategy and supplier dialogue to negotiation, contracts, and follow-up.

You work closely with various parts of the business, including development, production, and project management, contributing a commercial perspective and ensuring long-term, sustainable supplier solutions.

🎯 Your responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic procurement and sourcing strategies
• Drive commercial dialogues and negotiations with suppliers
• Establish, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements
• Lead and coordinate supplier collaborations together with internal stakeholders
• Monitor supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and capacity
• Identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain
• Contribute to the development of long-term and sustainable supplier relationships
• Work strategically with total cost of ownership, supply security, and business development

✅ We are looking for you who

• Have an academic degree in economics, engineering, or another relevant field
• Have several years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, tendering, or similar business-driven roles
• Have experience in negotiation and contract management in complex organizations
• Have a good understanding of supplier strategies, commercial acumen, and total cost perspectives
• Communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing

⭐ Bonus qualifications

• Experience from technology-intensive industries, such as defense, aerospace, or manufacturing
• Experience with international supplier relationships
• Understanding of project-based operations and complex supply chains
