Your new job

The position primarily involves part-time teaching in mathematics. For those who also have the qualifications and interest in teaching English, there is an opportunity to combine the role into a full-time position.

As a subject teacher with us, you play a crucial role in students' knowledge development. You plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching with a focus on creating good conditions for learning and goal achievement. You are responsible for assessment and grading in accordance with current regulations. Mentorship may be included in the role.

The assignment includes developing teaching together with colleagues and creating learning environments that promote students' motivation, curiosity, and learning. We actively work on analyzing students' results and adapting teaching to give each student the best possible conditions to reach their full potential.

As a teacher at Nifsarpsskolan, you are an important part of the school's joint development work. You contribute with subject didactic competence, share experiences with colleagues, and participate in efforts to strengthen the quality of teaching. We value professional collaboration where we jointly take responsibility for students' knowledge development and the school's continued development.

About you

We are looking for you who have completed a teacher education with qualifications to teach mathematics. It is meritorious if you also have qualifications for English. Previous experience of teaching, preferably within upper secondary school, is also meritorious. For the position, you must have good computer skills.

As a person, you have good pedagogical insight and the ability to motivate and inspire learning. You take responsibility for your own work and work systematically to move forward in your own planning and teaching. You see the importance of building good relationships with students to motivate learning. You are a natural leader in the classroom and have good ability to collaborate with others. As a person, you contribute to a positive and developing work climate together with your colleagues.

About our school

Nifsarpsskolan is an upper secondary school located just outside Eksjö. At the school, we offer upper secondary education within the Vehicle and Transport program, the Construction and Civil Engineering program with a focus on Land and Construction, and the Natural Resource program with a focus on Forestry. The school has approximately 240 students and 40 employees, where all staff are on holiday service contracts.

The school is characterized by a culture with high engagement, a family atmosphere, great personal responsibility, and a way of working where everyone helps each other and is equally valued. We have close contact with our industries, locally, regionally, and nationally, and for us, it is particularly important that students have high employability after graduation.

Good to know

Depending on your qualifications and wishes, the position is between 50-100%. The employment is permanent with holiday service. Access is desired at the start of the school year 2026. Interviews will preliminarily be held during weeks 32 and 33.

To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the correct qualifications, we ask you to attach a valid teacher license obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education that is not older than two months.

As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement according to the Education Act that you present an extract from the criminal record for work within schools. You request this record extract from the police website.

If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by showing a valid passport or a certificate of personal data together with a valid ID document. The certificate of personal data is ordered from the Swedish Tax Agency under "My Pages". If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only take place after the work permit has been checked, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
