1 position(s).
At Hjortsjöskolan, we are now looking for an engaged teacher for our special education group for the academic year 2026/2027!
To increase upper secondary school eligibility and attendance among our students, we have a special focus on subject-didactic collegiality (ÄDK), working on learning, leadership, and stimulation, as well as applying a salutogenic approach.
We are looking for you who, together with us, want to develop our school and make a real difference for our students.
As an employee here, you can expect close collaboration with educated colleagues, the student health team (EHT), and an engaged leadership. We offer supervision, ongoing professional development, as well as significant influence and participation in our development and change work, both in subject teams and work groups.
Hjortsjöskolan (grades 7–9) is located centrally in Vaggeryd and has just over 350 students. We work according to a vision where safety and knowledge are important cornerstones, and where the work team is seen as a shared resource in clear teamwork. Collaborative learning is an important part of our school development to reach the goal that every student develops both socially and academically. We work together towards the future with a focus on knowledge!
RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of teacher in our special education group, you will have a special responsibility for leading and developing the teaching for students in the special education group. You plan, conduct, and evaluate your pedagogical work in accordance with the current curriculum and governing documents, as well as perform other tasks common to the profession. Together with the rest of the school staff, you run a operation that helps students become safe, creative, and curious.
We work to ensure that all children feel responsible, show respect, and consideration for people and the environment. We aim to offer a meaningful activity from morning until evening. To succeed, every employee must, from their specific "gear position," collaborate with others to make the whole work and for the school's "WE" to grow.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have good competencies and are interested in learning and school development. It is meritorious if you have the qualification to teach mathematics/Science for grades 4–6, or alternatively 7–9. Experience in special pedagogical work is also meritorious. We assume that you meet challenges and pedagogical questions in an open and innovative way and contribute your competencies to the entire team.
In the classroom, you are a clear pedagogical leader who creates trust, engagement, safety, and accessibility. You are expected to work from a subject-didactic approach; you will receive introduction and training in this upon starting. Collaborating and establishing good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and external actors is natural in your role. You document and follow up on each student and have continuous dialogue with both students, subject teachers, mentors, and guardians.
Those working in the special education group form a work team and collaborate closely regarding the relevant students. We place great emphasis on your personal abilities.
