Are you a nursing assistant and curious about working in Lund Municipality?

This autumn, we are looking for more nursing assistants for some of our special housing facilities for the elderly (elderly care homes). Lund Municipality has eleven facilities in central Lund and one in each of the towns Stångby, Genarp, Södra Sandby, and Veberöd. As a nursing assistant in Lund, you will have the opportunity to develop and be stimulated through training, ombudsman roles, and areas of responsibility. This autumn, we will also begin work on "Yrkesresan Äldre" (The Career Journey for the Elderly) – a competence development program for employees within healthcare.

We offer permanent full-time positions (100%) without split shifts. Our full-time standard is 36 hours and 20 minutes per week, giving you more free time in your daily life.

Working hours are scheduled for both day and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend, between 07:00 and approximately 21:30.

In Lund, we actively work to stay at the forefront of digital working methods – both in services provided to users and in your work as an employee. Examples include mobile security alarms, digital locks, work schedules, and signing via mobile phone.

We are looking for you

who have a degree as a nursing assistant. You are responsible and confident in your role, with experience working in healthcare and social care using a person-centered and rehabilitative approach. We would appreciate if you had experience working in special housing for the elderly, and experience with users with cognitive impairment/dementia is a plus. Further education or other relevant experience in the field is positive.

You must be accustomed to performing medical tasks according to delegation. You must be able to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and have good computer skills for documentation and creating implementation plans.

About the role and responsibilities

As a nursing assistant in Lund, you help and support our users with care work based on their wishes and needs according to approved assistance. You help our users with personal care, service tasks, and perform medical tasks on delegation from nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

The work includes documenting in Lifecare according to the Social Services Act and the Health and Medical Services Act. As a nursing assistant, you will create implementation plans, document, evaluate, and contribute to maintaining good quality in operations. We monitor quality in national registers such as BPSD, SveDem, and Senior Alert. You are also an active part of team and quality work.
