Description
At the Assistance Unit within the Care and Social Services Administration, assistance managers, assistance assessors, method supporters, housing coordinators, welfare advisors, and case handlers work in close collaboration. The operations are organized into geographical teams within Karlstad Municipality, where employees jointly handle the various tasks.
Due to demographic changes that result in an expanded target group, the operations are undergoing development work. The goal is to conduct modern and sustainable public administration, focusing on quality, legal certainty, good working environment, and continuous operational development.
Responsibilities
As an assistance assessor, you are responsible for investigating, assessing, making decisions on, and following up on interventions according to the Social Services Act within elderly care. The role involves ensuring legally secure and equal treatment, with the individual's needs, participation, and self-determination in focus.
The work involves extensive collaboration both internally and externally, with colleagues within the administration, providers within home care and special housing, healthcare, and other parts of social services. Collaboration takes place at the individual, group, and organizational levels to meet the individual's needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- a degree in Social Work
- good knowledge of the Social Services Act and the Administrative Procedure Act
- experience in public administration
- a B-class driving license
Experience in public administration within elderly care and knowledge of the IBIC investigation method are considered meritorious.
To succeed in the role, you must have a good ability to work independently while contributing to good teamwork. You have a professional attitude, high integrity, and a service-oriented approach.
Furthermore, you are confident in your professional role, have good communication skills, and can express yourself well both orally and in writing. You have an aptitude for creating and maintaining trusting relationships. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
The operations strive for a balanced age and gender distribution as well as diversity regarding background and experience, as this contributes to better meeting the target group's needs. Language skills other than Swedish are considered meritorious.
