Are you a dental hygienist looking to develop within specialist pediatric dentistry?

With us, you will enjoy a unique combination of independent patient work and close collaboration with specialists in Pedodontics. You will become part of a dedicated team working with children and adolescents requiring specialist dental care, assisting specialists in complex treatments, and contributing to the development of future pediatric dentistry.

Our Practice

Just a few minutes from the travel center in Uppsala lies our welcoming Pediatric Dentistry Clinic. Currently, 10 dedicated employees with broad competence work at the clinic and look forward to welcoming you as a new colleague! The orthodontics clinic is located on the same floor, and one floor down you will find the general dentistry clinic at Vretgränd and the public dental services' emergency clinic.

Our patient base and multidisciplinary collaboration within specialist dentistry and other healthcare services provide opportunities for both breadth and specialized expertise. We provide anesthesia dentistry in collaboration with Uppsala University Hospital one day a week and handle all referrals for dentoalveolar surgery within pediatric dentistry in close cooperation with the maxillofacial surgery clinic. The practice has also invested in modern equipment to perform advanced endodontics in pediatric dentistry. We have a steady flow of patients and very satisfied patients.

We invest in education and supervision for pediatric teams within general dentistry and offer digital consultations via secure video meetings for sharing experiences and professional development.

Your Role

As a dental hygienist with us, you will have a varied and developing job where you combine independent patient work with close collaboration within the specialist team.

The role includes among other things:

• Performing your own examinations, preventive, and health-promoting treatments for children and adolescents.
• Participating in joint examinations and treatment planning together with specialist dentists.
• Assisting specialist dentists during treatments, including treatments under anesthesia.
• Contributing to the development of the practice by participating in development projects and training the pediatric team.

Your Qualifications

• Licensed dental hygienist with several years of experience in general dentistry.
• A genuine interest in working with children and adolescents with special needs.
• Ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with specialist dentists and other professions in a multidisciplinary team.
• Engaged, flexible, and comfortable with building long-term relationships with patients and their families.
• Enjoy sharing knowledge and contributing to the development of the practice.
