About the position
We are looking for you who have several years of experience in investigation and analysis work within the preparedness area. The tasks in the position may include, among other things:
- planning, conducting, and following up on investigations, assignments, and analyses related to the Socialstyrelsen's role as the sectoral authority for the preparedness sector of Health, Care, and Social Services.
- contributing to the development of forms for civil-military cooperation within the healthcare sector, including direction and planning for the civilian healthcare system's support for military operations, as well as a common direction for healthcare's role in total defense.
- representing the Socialstyrelsen in various forums for coordination and cooperation, and participating in Nordic and NATO-related projects and working groups, including contributing to the development of concrete planning for health preparedness in the Nordic countries, EU, WHO, and NATO.

We are looking for someone who has
- an academic education in a field relevant to the position or equivalent experience,
- experience working with preparedness issues at a government agency, municipality, or region,
- experience with investigative work (not handling individual cases), such as planning, information gathering, analysis, and compilation, as well as written and oral presentation,
- experience coordinating and cooperating on complex issues with many stakeholders,
- good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
It is meritorious if you have
- knowledge of the healthcare system or social services (organization and function).
- experience working in security-protected operations with issues concerning total defense.
- experience in international preparedness work or other international issues.
- experience working in a sectoral authority or a regional administrative board responsible for civil areas.
- experience in civil-military cooperation.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be based at the office on Västerbroplan in Stockholm, but have the opportunity to work remotely up to two days a week. Your job title will be Investigator, and your placement is in the Unit for Planning, Coordination, and Evaluation within the Division for Crisis Preparedness and Civil Defence. The unit is responsible for the Socialstyrelsen's various coordinating assignments, including the preparedness sector Health, Care, and Social Services, civil-military coordination, international preparedness, and the development of the agency's wartime organization, continuity management, as well as risk and vulnerability analyses.
The position is classified, and a security check with register control will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. You must be a Swedish citizen, but may have a foreign background.
