We are looking for you who have a solid foundation in purchasing and the contracting industry and want to work in a role where you have the opportunity to influence purchasing strategies, develop supplier partnerships, and contribute to long-term business decisions. The role has a clear strategic focus, while you thrive in working closely with operations and supporting operational tasks when needed.

About the role

In this role, you will become an important part of the company's purchasing function and work closely with the project organization to ensure commercial and sustainable purchasing.

Among other things, you will:

• Work strategically with supplier selection and develop long-term supplier partnerships.
• Identify purchasing needs, prepare tender documents, and conduct request for quotations (RFQs).
• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, economics, and commercial viability, and participate in supplier audits.
• Contribute to the development of purchasing processes, working methods, and contract structures.
• Monitor costs, deliveries, and deviations to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Work in close dialogue with internal stakeholders and support operations with purchasing-related matters.

Requirements for the position

• A vocational higher education degree or university degree in purchasing, engineering, economics, or another relevant field.
• At least three years of experience in purchasing within the construction, civil engineering, or contracting industry. We also welcome candidates with slightly less purchasing experience but a solid background in the industry in a related role, such as estimator, surveyor, or similar.
• Experience working with negotiations, RFQs, and contracts.
• Good understanding of commercial contracts.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Preferred qualifications

• Valid driver's license (Category B).

You have a commercial mindset and feel comfortable in dialogues with suppliers, while also having the ability to build long-term relationships. The pace is sometimes high, which requires you to prioritize, manage multiple contacts simultaneously, and maintain your attention to detail. You are also curious and see opportunities to develop both working methods and processes.

Conditions

• Full-time position.
• Location at the client's headquarters in southern Stockholm.
• Working hours 7:00–16:00 or 8:00–17:00.
• Possibility of hybrid work to some extent, according to agreement.
• Start date according to agreement.
• A background check will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
• Selection process starts in mid-August.
