We are looking for a secure and driven Senior Financial Accountant for a growing company in Gothenburg. Here you will become part of an engaged team at a wonderful company in an exciting phase.

This is a long-term position starting in September or latest October. You will start as a consultant via SJR and become employed by the client after six months.

About the role

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will become a key person in the finance team, working closely with the Finance Manager and acting as a sounding board and support for the team. You ensure high quality throughout the entire accounting process, from ongoing accounting to final financial statements, and contribute to the development of the business by streamlining processes and working methods.

Your main responsibilities:

• Responsible for and driving the ongoing accounting work
• Prepare reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement support
• Coordinate and quality assure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Report to the Finance Manager and contribute to financial follow-up
• Prepare materials for annual reports and income tax returns
• Handle complex accounting issues related to VAT, international trade, and inventory flows

Suitable background

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in qualified accounting work and have independently been responsible for monthly and annual financial statements. You have a post-secondary education in economics and feel confident throughout the entire accounting flow. You are professional in both Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have experience from a transaction-intensive business and have worked with international trade, EU VAT, and inventory-related accounting flows. If you also have experience from a growth company, we see it as a big plus.
