We are looking for you who want to work part-time as a substitute caregiver. Working as a substitute can be combined with studies or another main occupation as working hours are usually in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

What does the job entail?

We are looking for a substitute for a 10-year-old girl living in Vaxholm. As a substitute, you relieve the parents and spend time with the girl on her terms. With this client, your main task is to come up with activities together with the girl at home, in the immediate vicinity of the home, or on other types of outings. This means that as a substitute, you should support the client in various activities such as swimming, horseback riding, going to the cinema, or going for coffee. The purpose is to enable the client's participation in society and to contribute to the client having a meaningful leisure time. You will sometimes spend time together with the girl's family and sometimes spend the time alone. The girl has autism level 1 and ADHD, which means her interests change quickly, as does her energy level.

The number of working hours may vary depending on how many hours the client is granted, and this client is granted 3 hours of substitute service per week. There is no scheduled working time; instead, the hours are usually distributed in the evenings and on weekends, and are arranged in consultation and dialogue with our client and project manager. The time can, based on the family's wishes, be distributed with, for example, 6 hours every other weekend, but initially, it is positive if you are flexible and can meet for shorter periods but more often.

About you

With this girl, you need to be active, inventive, and responsive, while also possessing the ability to stay calm and read others' energy. It is positive if you have good fitness and are agile, so that you can be active together. It is also positive if you have experience with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses or have an interest in deepening your knowledge in this area.

We are looking for you who have an interest in working with other people and who want to become an important adult in a child's life. Experience or formal education is not a requirement. Great importance is placed on personal chemistry, where good treatment, great flexibility, and care are important qualities.

It is a requirement that you are not allergic to fur-bearing animals (dogs, horses).

The recruitment process

Your application may be read by staff within Nordström Assistans, by the client and their relatives and/or coordinator. Your application may be shared with our sister companies if your profile matches another position within Team Olivia. Selection may take place continuously, and the position may be filled before the last application date. Therefore, do not hesitate to submit your application today!

In case of employment

To be employed by us at Nordström Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the job. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document as well as a valid certificate of personal data (Personbevis) and/or any documents that prove the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal data from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the job may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a substitute with us.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18 years of age, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record register and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing time may vary, so the order should be placed well in advance. The extracts can be ordered with BankID via the following link: https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/.

We recommend that you ensure you have current extracts in accordance with current legislation and the new rules that come into force on March 1, 2026.
