At Bollsta sawmill, tradition meets innovation in one of Europe's most efficient sawmill facilities. By investing in new technology and digitalization, we maximize the value of every tree. Here, you will develop profitable products that strengthen our sustainable value chain from forest to customer.
We welcome your application!

If you want to develop and think new thoughts, you will thrive with us, as we give everyone the opportunity to reach their full potential. We know that it is the people who make the success!
Your Next Challenge
As a Business Developer at Bollsta sawmill, you will have a broad and business-oriented role where you work with developing, optimizing, and monitoring our operations. A key part of the assignment is to ensure that the investments made in Bollsta yield a return by using the raw material in the best possible way.
In this role, you work at the interface between raw material, production, and business, with a strong emphasis on analysis and calculation. You contribute to optimizing raw material utilization, focusing on customer needs and profitability. You also work on developing how our systems are used in production to support better decision-making and a more efficient workflow. As needed, you collaborate with system suppliers for further development and improvements. In this role, you work closely with marketing, operators at the sawmill, the edger, and the Forestry business area.
This is a broad and developmental role where you need to be able to prioritize, see the big picture, and at the same time have a good eye for detail. For those who enjoy calculating, analyzing, and finding smart solutions, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the sawmill business of the future.
Who Are You?
We are looking for you who have an academic background as a forester, engineer, or economist, or alternatively, other higher education and experience deemed equivalent. Experience in forestry, the sawmill industry, or other process industries is highly meritorious, as is a good understanding of business, production, and profitability.
You have good analytical skills and thrive on turning data, business understanding, and production knowledge into practical improvements. Experience working with databases and SQL is meritorious. To succeed in the role, you need to be structured, collaborative, and have a good ability to drive issues forward independently. You are confident in coordinating multiple contact points and preferably have experience working in a project management capacity.
With a curious and business-driven work approach, you contribute to developing profitable solutions and ensuring we use the raw material in the best possible way.
Our core values – responsibility, excellence, and respect – are the foundation for everything we do at SCA. Therefore, it is important that your values align with ours.
What Do We Offer You?
With us, you will have great opportunities to grow and develop. We encourage competence development, taking responsibility, and realizing your ideas. At SCA, we care about each other and offer an open, supportive work climate. We also understand the importance of a sustainable working life. As an employee, you will work with the latest technology and be part of the transition to a sustainable society. Our forests bind carbon dioxide, we utilize every part of the trees we harvest, and our products can replace fossil alternatives. Together, this contributes to reducing emissions equivalent to Sweden's passenger car traffic for one year. Making a real difference gives the work an extra dimension.
The position is a permanent employment with a start date as agreed. Location: Bollsta sawmill in Bollstabruk.
