Your Role

We are now looking for an IT Service Manager who will take overall responsibility for our AI & Data capability – from data platforms and analytics tools to AI initiatives and data governance. This is the role for you if you understand both the possibilities of technology and the needs of the business, and if you thrive equally well in strategic discussions and in the practical work of building capabilities.

As Service Manager for AI & Data, you are the hub of a team working on some of the most future-oriented issues in our IT organization. You move naturally between the operational and the strategic – you ensure stable operations of data platforms while simultaneously driving the work to identify and realize new opportunities within AI and advanced analytics. The role requires a holistic view, technical curiosity, and the ability to make complex issues understandable to a broad range of stakeholders.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Technical Responsibility and Platform Development – You manage, develop, and modernize our data and AI platform. You ensure stable data flows, high data availability, and a scalable analytics platform, while driving the technical roadmap.
• Team Leadership and Competency Supply – You lead and coach a team of data engineers, analysts, and AI specialists. Together with the line manager, you ensure the right competencies, working methods, and priorities.
• Service Management and Vendor Management – You act as the link between IT and the business, are responsible for vendor dialogue and service deliveries, and drive continuous improvements.
• Strategy, Environmental Scanning, and Innovation – You follow developments in AI and data, translate new opportunities into initiatives that create business value, and ensure responsible work with data and regulations.

Your Key Interfaces

• CIO Office – collaboration on data architecture, AI strategy, and technology standards, as well as resource allocation via PMO.
• Site Managers – ongoing dialogue regarding local resources, competency development, recruitment needs, and team well-being.
• Business Demand – collaboration with pm3 IT project managers to early capture needs for data analytics support, AI initiatives, and reporting solutions.
• Enterprise Architecture, Compliance/Cybersecurity – ensuring data quality, architectural direction, and compliance with data protection regulations, etc.

The position can be located in Lund, Karlskrona, Stockholm, or Linköping.

You have the ability to make AI and data understandable and relevant for different target groups, while working systematically and pragmatically to turn ideas into results. We are looking for you who have experience in:

• Building, managing, and further developing data and AI platforms – preferably in a global or multi-site environment.
• Leading teams with varying specialist competencies within data engineering, analytics, and AI.
• Ensuring the right conditions for a technical team regarding competencies, methods, and tools.
• Proactively identifying and realizing opportunities where data and AI create measurable business value.
• Working in an environment where data quality, security, and regulatory requirements are closely linked to technical delivery.
• Advantage to have experience working in manufacturing industry for complex products and linked business processes.

To succeed in the role, we also believe you have:

• An academic technical education in IT, engineering, or equivalent work-related life experience.
• The ability to handle technical and formal language in both Swedish and English.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

Please note that the selection process begins from week 33, starting August 10th.
