Do you want to combine technical depth with operational responsibility and help develop a modern, secure, and stable IT environment for several municipalities? Unikom is currently looking for an experienced data center technician who also wants to take on the role of group supervisor and contribute to developing both technology and team.

You will work operationally as a data center technician while simultaneously being responsible for the daily coordination of the Data Center Group and the Client Group.

Our mission is an exciting initiative with a modern view of municipal IT operations. We deliver stable, secure, and high-quality IT operations to our owner municipalities and actively work on digital development together with the businesses.

We currently have around 50 employees and offer a workplace with high competence, a strong team spirit, and short decision-making paths.

About the Role

As the Group Supervisor for Data Center Technician, you play a key role in our delivery. You work operationally within the data center area while being responsible for the daily coordination of work in the Data Center Group and the Client Group.

You do not have direct personnel responsibility, but you have a central role in creating structure and direction in daily work. You plan and prioritize together with the team and ensure that work is carried out according to our common processes and ways of working.

The role also involves driving collaboration between the groups and contributing to developing the work towards a more standardized, scalable, and knowledge-sharing delivery.

Your Responsibilities

Operational Work – Data Center

  • Operation, administration, and development of server and data center environments
  • Handling incidents, problems, and changes
  • Monitoring, patching, and lifecycle management
  • Backup, storage, and identity services
  • Documentation and improvement of the operational environment

Group Supervision

  • Plan, coordinate, and follow up on work
  • Distribute tasks and create an overview of workload, priorities, and dependencies
  • Ensure that work follows established processes
  • Ensure good dialogue, information sharing, and collaboration within and between groups
  • Contribute to open knowledge exchange where experience and competence are shared
  • Develop and continuously improve documentation and standardized ways of working to reduce dependency on individuals and create a more scalable and sustainable delivery

Security and Improvement

  • Actively work with security in the operational environment
  • Identify vulnerabilities and drive improvements
  • Ensure compliance with security requirements and guidelines
  • Contribute to the development of ways of working and technical solutions

Technical Environment

We are looking for you with experience in several of the following areas:

  • Hyper-V
  • NetApp SAN
  • Microsoft 365
  • MobilityGuard OneGate
  • Veeam Backup
  • Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP

Experience in the client area, such as SCCM, Intune, or similar, is considered an advantage.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Several years of experience as an operations technician or equivalent
  • Strong competence in data center operations and infrastructure
  • Experience working in environments with high security requirements
  • Good understanding of IT operations processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
  • Ability to work both operationally and coordinatively
