Your Role

We are looking for an IT Manager who is equally comfortable in the boardroom as in dialogue with an IT specialist. You are the hub on site – responsible for your employees, local IT delivery, and the relationship with the business – while simultaneously being a vital cog in our global IT organization.

As an IT Manager, you have overall responsibility for the IT presence on site. This entails personnel responsibility for locally based IT staff, responsibility for capacity and delivery in collaboration with Service Managers, and the role as the business's primary on-site IT contact. You report operationally to the CIO and act as the link between the global and the local.

Your main areas of responsibility:

Personnel Responsibility & Employee Development
You are the line manager for IT employees physically located on site. This includes responsibility for local HR processes and OSA (Occupational Safety and Health) work, competence development, and supporting each employee's personal goals and career development – in close collaboration with the relevant Service Managers, who operationally manage our larger solutions within IT delivery.

Site Capacity Management
In collaboration with Service Managers, you coordinate the site's IT capacity against the business's demand. You create overview, identify bottlenecks in good time, and ensure that the right resources are in the right place.

Local Business Relations
You are the face of IT for the site – the natural point of contact for local business operations. You listen to needs, build trust, and ensure that IT is perceived as an active and credible partner for the business.

Your key stakeholder areas:

• CIO – operational reporting and strategic anchoring
• Other IT Site Managers – resource sharing and coordination between sites
• Service Managers – coordination regarding employee performance, delivery, and competence development
• Local IT Staff – daily dialogue with employees allocated to global capability areas

Your Profile

You are a natural leader who engages and drives groups forward – without needing to have all the answers yourself. You thrive at the intersection of people, technology, and business, and you have the ability to understand business needs while simultaneously conducting qualified dialogue with IT specialists.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a holistic view and business understanding – you see how changes in IT affect the organization's goals, not just your own department
• Is analytical and goal-oriented – you quickly grasp complex issues, interpret KPIs and data, and prioritize what yields the greatest strategic impact
• Translates decisions into action – you have strong internal drive and quickly shorten the path from strategy to concrete activities
• Navigates confidently in both agile environments and traditional project structures
• Is a skilled relationship builder with experience leading workshops, working groups, or cross-functional initiatives
• Advantage: Experience working in manufacturing industry for complex products and linked business processes

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
