About the Job

We are looking for a Systems Specialist with deep expertise in the Linux ecosystem. The person we hire will play a central role in the development, operations, automation, and further development of business-critical systems with high demands for availability, security, and stability.

The role requires both strategic vision and operational capability, where the candidate is expected to lead technical initiatives, support the operations organization, and contribute to architecture and security matters.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Operations, administration, and further development of Red Hat/Ubuntu-based environments
  • Automation of deployment, configuration, and operations
  • Ensuring high availability, security, and performance
  • Incident management and troubleshooting in complex environments
  • Documentation, standardization, and improvement work
  • Participation in projects, migrations, and platform modernization

About You

We see that you have some form of higher education or work experience that the employer deems equivalent. We also see that you have at least one year of experience in the administration and operation of Linux environments. You also have deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu Satellite, and experience with patching, hardening, and lifecycle management.

It is meritorious if you have experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments and VMware, as well as experience with Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, networking, DNS, certificates/TLS, LDAP/AD integration, and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.

If you also have certifications in Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and/or experience from larger enterprise or society-critical environments, this is also considered meritorious.

As a person, you are independent in the sense that you have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment without being dependent on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward. Furthermore, you are development-oriented as you are motivated by learning new things and developing yourself. You come up with new ideas yourself and take the initiative for improvements. You actively monitor the external environment within your profession and regularly reflect on what needs to be developed in your operations.

We also see that you are service-oriented in your approach. You are positive, find solutions, and want to help. You understand what we are here for and ensure that our customers are satisfied. You collaborate well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible.

You are also structured in the way that you plan, organize, and prioritize work in an efficient manner. You ensure that work is completed on time and follow up on results.

Other Information

The work is primarily performed on weekdays during office hours, but evening and weekend work as well as on-call duties may occur as needed.

Selection is ongoing, and interviews are planned for weeks 32, 35, and 36.

You will be appointed as a Systems Specialist with us.
