Your Role

In this role as Production Manager, you will be part of the Gripen Delivery Hangar. The operation currently employs approximately 50 people, but we are a growing organization. The work primarily involves functional testing and verification flights of Gripen aircraft. We are also responsible for delivering the aircraft to our various customers. Our mission also includes receiving Gripen aircraft built and manufactured by Embraer in Brazil and delivering them further to the Brazilian Air Force. Our area also includes personnel working with ejection seats, maintenance readiness, the technical office, and delivery coordination. The operations are mainly conducted in Tannefors, but international assignments also occur.

Main responsibilities for the position:

• Responsible for daily operations
• Handle acute disruptions in production
• Fulfill set commitments
• Create conditions and support mechanics & technicians
• Personnel development
• Implement and follow established working methods

As a Production Manager, you will lead 10–15 mechanics & technicians in their work during functional testing and verification flights of Gripen aircraft. You are responsible for personnel, economy, and delivery within your own area of responsibility and report directly to the Workshop Manager of the Delivery Hangar.

You will become part of the Workshop Manager's leadership team, which currently includes two other Production Managers. We are a good team that supports and helps each other in everyday life.

Your Profile

We are looking for you with leadership qualities and preferably experience from production, hangars, or other production-related aviation activities. You need to be stress-resistant and able to prioritize in daily life. You must be proficient in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing. If you have experience working abroad, this is an asset as travel may occur. Great importance will be placed on your personal qualities.

You enjoy working in a team, are willing to take on the leadership role, and have the ability to motivate and coordinate employees with a focus on goal achievement and quality. We also see that you contribute to employee development through delegation and coaching.

Completing and delivering a Gripen aircraft is both technically challenging and demanding, as we are last in the production chain and closest to the customer.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
