Your Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer in Electrical Engineering, you will become part of Product Quality, a team with high specialist competence in areas such as pressurized systems, piping, welding, electrical installations, IEC Ex, and certification. The team consists of 16 people, half of whom are employees and half are consultants.
You will work in various delivery projects, responsible for ensuring that electrical equipment and installations covered by explosion protection (Ex/ATEX) meet current requirements, customer specifications, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review contracts to identify local requirements and regulations related to Ex equipment.
- Create and maintain Ex lists of components with explosion protection requirements, as well as review classifications and certificates.
- Conduct on-site safety inspections where turbine systems are installed, both in Sweden and internationally.
- Check and verify that electrical installations meet internal requirements, customer requirements, and current Ex regulations.
- Document results and write inspection reports with any deviations and improvement proposals.
- Support the sales department in matters concerning Ex requirements and explosion protection.
- Prepare documentation forming the basis for CE marking according to the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) for control cabinets.
Your Profile
- Education in electrical engineering, or alternatively a high school education in electrical engineering combined with several years of experience in electrical installations.
- Experience in quality work within industry or technical operations.
- Good ability to read and interpret technical contracts and specifications.
- Good understanding of electrical safety and electrical installations.
- Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of Swedish is highly meritorious.
It is also meritorious if you have experience with:
- IEC Ex
- ATEX
- Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
- Certification or inspection work.
