In Älvsbyn Municipality, you will become part of a small but highly competent and supportive team where we care for each other and help one another to achieve good results. The Individual and Family Care department covers the areas of children and youth, family homes, family law, economic assistance, and adults. The department consists of 14 caseworkers, one administrator, one senior social secretary, and a unit manager. We are a tightly knit group that supports each other, offering a pleasant workplace with close managerial support.

About the role

As a family home caseworker, you are the spider in the web. It is a versatile role where you juggle many balls in the air while building strong relationships. You coordinate contacts and connect all important threads around the child and the family home. The work requires a high degree of independence and involves frequent travel.

Your main responsibilities:

• Connecting the network: You are the link between the family home, the child's social secretary, school, and healthcare.
• Close team collaboration: You work in close dialogue with the child secretaries to ensure a safe and coordinated effort.
• Support and supervision: You match, train, and provide close, personal support to our family homes.
• Drive collaboration: You develop and maintain cooperation with external actors and organizations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a natural relationship builder and driven by collaboration. Since we are a small municipality, we place decisive importance on your personal suitability, your communicative skills, and your ability to coordinate many different contact areas.

Requirements for the position:

• A degree in Social Work or another academic education that the employer deems relevant (e.g., in behavioral science, pedagogy, or social work).
• Very good ability to collaborate and communicate with different target groups.
• Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, as well as a valid driver's license (Category B).

Merits:

• Experience of authority exercise or work within social services.
• Education in investigation methodology (we work with a lasting relationship).
• Experience of network work or systematic family work.
• Experience with the business system Pulsen Combine is a merit.

Other

We offer you a permanent position. Start date as soon as possible after agreement.

Working hours are daytime, Monday – Friday. Possibility for some remote work exists.
