Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating life-changing changes in a youth's life? We are continuing to grow and are therefore looking for additional treatment secretaries to join our quality team.
SiS Youth Home Johannisberg is a high-security institution beautifully located next to the Kalix River, adjacent to the quiet residential area of Grytnäs. The institution is in a phase of development and expansion, with ongoing work on increased staffing and security. Our target group in Kalix consists of boys aged 16–21 placed under the Act on Closed Youth Care (LsU) and the Act on Care of Young People (LVO). All work is guided by our core values: Respect, Care, and Clarity. As a new employee, you will receive a thorough introduction, basic training, and further education in areas such as security, unauthorized influence, conflict management, and CPR.
As a treatment secretary, you coordinate and are responsible for the youths' treatment. The treatment secretary draws up treatment plans in consultation with the youth, social services, and other professionals in the treatment team, such as psychologists, nurses, and school staff. In this role, you are expected to coordinate and carry out planning, documentation, and contact with both the youths and internal and external actors to drive cases toward set care and treatment goals. The treatment secretary works closely with ward staff, which includes guiding employees in their daily work based on the youths' treatment plans. You play a vital role in ensuring that the youths receive high-quality, individualized interventions based on their conditions and needs. The treatment secretary also contributes to the development of the institution's routines in accordance with the agency's overarching guidelines for investigation and treatment.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in treatment work who shares our vision of being a place for change. You are a good and secure role model for our youths, with the ability to create engagement and participation among both the youths and other internal/external contacts in your work. As a treatment secretary, you are expected to drive and plan your work independently, while a large part of the work is done in collaboration with others. Therefore, you should have the ability to collaborate well with other people to create good treatment results.
You must also have:
- A university degree such as a social worker (socionom) or another behavioral science education that SiS considers equivalent and comprising at least 180 credits.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both in writing and speech.
- Category B driver's license.
Please attach your degree certificate to your application. Degree certificates issued in another country must be translated and validated in Sweden via the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR).
Meritorious qualifications:
- Experience working with youths.
- Experience in care and treatment work within social services, psychiatry, or the prison and probation service.
- Experience in investigative work and authority exercise.
Employment:
