Hello! Do you want to make a real difference for children and young people while getting the right conditions to feel good at work?

The Child and Youth Unit is now looking for new colleagues who want to contribute to a safer everyday life and better future opportunities for children and young people in Luleå Municipality. Here, you will become part of an engaged team with a strong child perspective, where we constantly develop our way of working and think new together. Right now, we are focusing particularly on the work environment through an ongoing project with scheduled recovery during working hours. This means that you, together with your colleagues, will have time set aside every day for recovery - an investment we make to create long-term sustainable working conditions.

Upon employment, you will get a secure start with a thoughtful introduction where an experienced colleague is by your side. We create good conditions for your development through regular case reviews and opportunities for competence development.

You work 08:00-17:00 with the possibility of flex (up to two hours before or after working hours) and up to 50% remote work based on the needs of the operations. Job Responsibilities

As a social secretary in the Child and Youth Unit, you have an exciting and meaningful role where you get to make a difference for children and young people. You work with preliminary assessments, investigations, support, and follow-up of interventions for children, young people, and parents. We work according to BBIC (Children's Needs in the Center), which is a uniform system for social child care. We also work according to the Signs of Safety approach, which is based on a perspective where the family are experts on their own situation.

The goal of our work is to help parents manage their internal relationships and the parental role better. Ultimately, the goal is that the children and young people in the families feel well. We strive to provide families with support at an early stage and as far as possible at home. To achieve this goal, we collaborate with other resources, such as authorities and organizations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest and commitment to working with children and young people and who want to make a positive difference in their lives. Additionally, you have:

  • A degree in Social Work (Social Worker)
  • A valid Swedish Category B driver's license

Experience in social investigation and treatment work within child and youth services and/or documentation experience is meritorious.
