Do you want to contribute to the development of a modern meal service? We are now looking for an engaged and structured employee for a fixed-term position of nine months.

The operations are in an intensive development phase, and we need to strengthen the organization with a coordinator who can relieve pressure in daily work. The role also involves important responsibility for developing and ensuring the organization's preparedness work, with a special focus on planning, warehousing, and turnover of preparedness stocks in our kitchens.

The Meal Service is responsible for all meals served in municipal preschools, schools, upper secondary schools, and elderly care. We also offer catering, senior restaurants, and meal delivery. We have a strong focus on sustainability and therefore work extensively with vegetarian meals and reducing food waste.

The Meal Service prepares meals from scratch with pride, engagement, and care. Daily meals are important, both nutritionally and socially. Every guest should receive a warm welcome and access to nutritious, safe, and climate-smart meals.

Your responsibilities

• As an operational executive support, you will have a varied role where you work closely with managers and other functions within the food service.
• Provide operational executive support to area managers through planning, coordination, follow-up, documentation, and coordination of operational issues.
• Build up, develop, and optimize the preparedness warehouse by planning and ensuring a purposeful warehouse structure, logistics, storage, and turnover of goods.
• Support dietitians/nutrition developers in matters such as procurement/tendering, menu planning, food waste, nutritional calculations, vegetarian diet, and quality work.

Your qualifications

You work in a structured way, take initiative, and easily see where you can support the operations. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team, while also being independent and flexible when the work requires it.

To be considered for the position, we see that you have:

• A university degree in food science, with a focus on food economics, nutrition science, food development, or similar.
• Experience working with large food warehouses and having participated in improvement work regarding storage, for example according to Lean or another equivalent method.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good IT skills, for example in the Office package.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

• Experience with Tendmill in procurement and follow-up of food waste.
• Experience with menu planning in Matilda.
