About the Position

As an economist within the Social Services Administration, you work with resource allocation, budgeting, monthly reporting, forecasting, analysis, and final accounts.

Working for an efficient operation is an important part of the role, which includes providing consultative support to managers within the administration. This support is provided through dialogue and collaboration to achieve goals and a balanced economy. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting materials and reports to both the management group and the board.

A significant part of the administration's revenue consists of targeted state grants, which are handled financially by the administration's economists. You will therefore work with budgeting, follow-up, and financial planning related to targeted state grants for the Social Services Administration.

You are part of the municipality-wide economic network with economists from other administrations.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who have a university or college degree in economics, at least 3 years.

• You are knowledgeable about legislation and its preparatory work, as well as the regulations governing the work.
• You have experience with economic systems.
• You have good habits of documentation.
• You can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You have at least 1 year of work experience and the competence required to understand the economic area and lead the work forward. It is an advantage if you have experience from public or tax-funded operations.

You have good communication and collaboration skills, as well as commitment. As a person, you see new opportunities based on changes in the external environment, are structured, and have analytical ability to see connections and the whole picture. You can switch between operational and strategic perspectives with a solution focus. Since the position involves many external and internal contacts, a service-oriented approach and good collaboration skills are important. Furthermore, you are expected to be able to present complex information in an easy, clear, and inspiring way.

About the Employment

Number of positions: 1 temporary position for 1 year.

Start date: November 1, 2026, or by agreement, with the possibility of extension.

Interviews: Monday, August 17, from 08:00–17:00.

Salary range for the position (salary setting 2026): Lowest 36,100 SEK, Average 44,495 SEK, Highest 49,450 SEK/month. The salary is influenced by experience and knowledge.
