Do you want to work with people, administration, and payroll in a varied and important role?

We are now looking for a detail-oriented and service-minded HR and Payroll Administrator who wants to become part of our team, based at our office in Halmstad. In this role, you will be responsible for payroll administration and provide support on personnel-related matters to both managers and employees.

About the role

As an HR and Payroll Administrator, you will work broadly within the HR field with a focus on the crucial payroll process. Our payrolls are outsourced, so your role will be to ensure that our employees' salaries are correct according to the current collective agreements. You will also handle a wide variety of administrative tasks within the HR area.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll process – registration control, approval, final check
  • Support managers and employees in matters concerning salary, contracts, absence, and personnel administration.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, collective agreements, and internal guidelines.
  • Administer pensions, insurance, and other employee benefits.
  • Handle reporting to authorities and external parties.
  • Administer new hires, terminations, and changes in the personnel system and personnel-related documents.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR and payroll processes.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has education in payroll, personnel administration, HR, or equivalent experience.
  • Has experience with independent payroll work.
  • Has good knowledge of labor law and preferably experience with the construction industry collective agreement.
  • Is accustomed to working in personnel systems and has good knowledge of Excel.
  • Has good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Is structured, detail-oriented, and has high integrity.
  • Thrives in providing service and building good relationships.
  • Has a B-driver's license and access to a personal car.

Who are we?

AF Bygg Syd AB was founded in Halmstad in 2007 and currently has approximately 85 employees, consisting of both office staff and skilled workers. Operations are run from our offices in Halmstad and Lund.

We operate within two main business areas: VA projects, focusing on water and wastewater treatment plants, and traditional construction activities. Our geographical market covers southern Sweden.

AF Bygg Syd AB has a turnover of approximately 700 MSEK and is part of the Norwegian, listed construction and infrastructure group, AF Gruppen. Since April 2026, AF Bygg Syd AB has been the majority owner of H.A. Bygg Entreprenad AB, which has its office in Gothenburg.
