Are you our next star? We are looking for an engaged personal assistant!

Vilhelmina Municipality, LSS Care, is seeking a personal assistant for a super cheerful child who spreads joy to everyone around them. The child lives with their mother, father, older sister (8 years old), and younger sister (1 year old). The child attends school at Volgsjö with a dedicated resource teacher, but also has a personal assistant with them around the clock.

The position is permanent, although a probationary period may apply. The employment level is 80%.

The child's start in life was tough, and they currently have a brain injury affecting volitional motor skills. The child has a significant visual impairment and limited speech. The child's intellectual level corresponds to that of a one-year-old.

The child enjoys sitting on laps, bathing, spending time with family, playing with their sisters, animals, fast-moving toys, and good food. Going for walks in the stroller is delightful, and the child is happy to listen to music and songs. Due to the brain injury, the child tires easily and needs extra rest during the day, which is a cozy time to listen to a story.

Responsibilities

Do you want to make a real difference in a child's life? We are looking for a warm and positive personal assistant who can support and encourage a child with multiple disabilities, epilepsy, and severe visual impairment.

About the role: You will work closely with the child in personal care, provide support during activities, and create security in daily life. The work is performed both at home, at school, and as needed at the habilitation center, during habilitation swimming sessions, hospital visits, etc. The child loves participating in various activities, especially bathing.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Thrives in a flexible environment and can take initiative.
• Has good collaboration skills.
• Has a big heart and wants to create security and joy in the child's daily life.
• Is reliable, responsible, and has a positive attitude.

It is an advantage if you have USK training (Swedish Police Authority certificate) or experience assessed as equivalent by the employer. However, personal chemistry is a decisive factor. Previous experience with epilepsy and seizures, as well as work with people with disabilities, is also advantageous. You must be attentive to the child's needs and capable of acting in the event of serious seizures.

You hold a valid Category B driver's license.

Conditions

A certificate of good conduct (extract from the police record) is required prior to employment.
