The department's assignment is to offer adults guidance and education in lifelong learning. Within the department, there is also guidance and support for adults' individual development towards self-sufficiency. The department is responsible for integration and also coordinates labor market political measures.

Now you have the chance to be part of creating a completely new operation in Forshaga Municipality!

The position is located within the department's unit "Individual and Development," where you will work in our labor market activities. We work with individual support to strengthen people's path to self-sufficiency and active participation in society.

In collaboration with the Klarälvdalen Coordination Board, we are launching a new meeting place – and we are looking for an engaged occupational therapist who wants to help shape content, methods, and structure from the start.

The meeting place is an activity aimed at people between 18–67 years old who want to break social isolation and strengthen their participation in society. The activity is based on an inclusive approach where the individual's needs, resources, and goals are central. The activity will also include workplace-based activities for people on social security benefits, linked to the introduction of activity requirements.

Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist, you play a key role in strengthening individuals' work capacity and independence. You will work with:

  • Assessing work capacity and support needs
  • Contributing occupational therapy expertise to the development of the activity's methods and interventions
  • Supporting participants in structuring daily life, routines, and activity balance
  • Working with adaptations for workplace-based activities/tasks, both within the activity and at other workplaces
  • Collaborating with internal and external actors to create sustainable solutions for the individual
  • Documenting and following up on interventions

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a licensed occupational therapist
  • Have experience and education in assessing work capacity
  • Have experience and knowledge of adaptations related to work
  • Have a health-promoting and rehabilitative approach
  • Are confident working both independently and in a team
  • Have the ability to structure, plan, and drive work forward
  • Are receptive, relationship-building, and inclusive
  • Thrive in a development-oriented role where methods are shaped over time
  • Have a valid driver's license (Category B)

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience of collaboration between different authorities and actors
  • Education in Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Personal suitability is of great importance.

Conditions

Fixed-term employment at 100% until 2027-12-31.
