About the Workplace

We are now looking for a communicator for the Communications Unit. Here, you will become part of an engaged team working to strengthen both internal and external communication. We support managers and operations with communication issues, develop our channels, and work to create communication that makes a real difference for residents, employees, and partners.

As a communicator at the Social Services Administration, you will work closely with the operations, but also in a broader context together with communicators from across the City of Helsingborg. Through the city's networks, development initiatives, and joint projects, you will contribute to developing communication both within the Social Services Administration and at the city-wide level. Here you will have the opportunity to share experiences, be inspired by others, and help develop communication in the City of Helsingborg.

Responsibilities

As a communicator with us, you have a broad role where you work both strategically and operationally with communication. You are responsible for the Social Services Administration's external web pages on helsingborg.se and our internal pages on the intranet, while also contributing to developing our presence in social media and our digital channels.

Visual communication is a central part of the assignment. You work with the entire process – from idea and planning to production, editing, and publishing. Moving image is an important tool for telling the story of the operations, creating engagement, and making complex information more accessible to our target groups.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Develop and manage content on the web and intranet with a focus on user-friendliness, accessibility, and target group benefit.
• Plan, produce, and publish content in the form of film, photo, graphics, and text for our digital channels.
• Support and train the editors of the operations and provide advice on communication issues.
• Identify communication needs from the operations and translate them into communication efforts that create value.
• Represent the Social Services Administration in city-wide networks, projects, and development initiatives within communication.
• Contribute to work on employer branding, change communication, and crisis communication.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university education in communication, media and communication studies, journalism, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.

You have experience in qualified communication work and are accustomed to working with both strategic and operational communication issues. You have good knowledge of digital communication and experience in creating content for the web, intranet, and social media.

We would appreciate if you have experience with:

• Web publishing and development of digital channels.
• Social media, film production, and visual communication.
• Work in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant publishing tools.
• Leading or coordinating communication efforts in a larger organization.
• Providing support and advice to managers and operations on communication issues.

You express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have a good ability to make complex information simple, understandable, and adapted to the target group.
