Your Role

We are looking for a Quality Manager to join the quality function for PU Avionics in Huskvarna. This role is perfect for you if you enjoy diving into regulatory requirements and translating complex regulations into simple, effective working methods.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine strategic thinking with operational execution. You will maintain close dialogue with both external parties (authorities and customers) and internal line managers to define expectations and requirements. You will guide the organization, establish the necessary work structures, and implement requirements by driving concrete improvements.

Your main responsibilities:

• Interpret and translate current regulations within civil and military aviation into practical working methods by writing and quality-assuring manuals, instructions, and policy documents. Train, coach, and support the business in following our working methods. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure uniform quality work.
• Communicate orally and in writing with external parties such as authorities and customers. Plan and host external audits, as well as drive improvement work related to deviations and new requirements. Follow up, analyze, and report quality results to the Quality Manager.
• Plan, conduct, and follow up on internal audits as an audit lead.

You belong to the Quality Department and work on behalf of your local Quality Manager, to whom you also report. The role does not include personnel responsibility.

Your Profile

We are looking for a structured, meticulous, and self-driven person who thrives with significant personal responsibility. The role involves many contact points, so you are skilled at collaborating and driving issues independently, as well as being comfortable with following up on and challenging decisions when necessary.

You have a genuine interest in analyzing and translating regulations into practice. As a person, you are a pedagogical communicator who expresses yourself effortlessly in speech and writing, with a strong ability to transform complex requirements into clear and usable documentation.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• A degree in Engineering from a university or college, or equivalent competence
• Several years of experience in quality or similar roles
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Experience working with regulations, processes, and governing documents
• Experience leading improvement work

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience from the aviation industry (civil/military) or other strictly regulated operations
• Training as an internal auditor or extensive experience leading audits
• Experience conducting training or workshops

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
