Job Description

With us, you will often encounter complex and exciting care processes in a changing environment where you, with your competence, have great opportunities to make a difference for the patient. Our goal is to always start from the patients' needs, where care is designed individually and characterized by professional interaction. We offer you a varied and broad work with opportunities for development within your professional role as a nurse. The patients and relatives you meet are at different stages of life, and you will learn to interact with people in crisis, grief, and joy.

You will work in interdisciplinary teams around the patient, where we have physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians linked to our operations. On the ward, we have a pharmacist during daytime hours who is available to assist and support medication management. We work evidence-based and participate in studies and research regarding the patient groups cared for on the ward.

Your introduction with us is tailored to your needs to ensure a secure start in your new workplace. As support for new employees, but also other staff, a specialist nurse or care manager is on duty almost daily to provide support, training, and development. We encourage education and development, and all employees have the opportunity to schedule time for this. We would like our nurses to further their education in the future, and educational positions are available to apply for. Our mission also includes providing supervision and training for future colleagues.

The operations run 24/7 with day, evening, and night shifts. We work with a quota system favorable to the employee, which means you have the opportunity to earn extra leave time. The schedule is requested by you, the employee, in 5-week periods. We use the Multi Access system where requests and swaps are made based on the operation's needs and the employees themselves.

Qualifications

We welcome both newly graduated and experienced registered nurses, with the eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you must have Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. It is an advantage if you have worked as a nurse previously.

We would like you, as an applicant, to have a specific interest in surgery. Since we work in teams around the patient, we expect you to have good cooperation skills, that you contribute to creating a good work climate, and that you are responsible. Furthermore, it is important to you to meet patients with humility and respect based on their needs. At the same time, you can make your own decisions, plan and prioritize, and have a holistic perspective on the patient. We place great emphasis on personal suitability to find the right person for the position.

We warmly welcome your application today!
