Do you want to work in a kitchen where no two days are alike?

Skogshem & Wijk is a privately owned conference facility on Lidingö with 222 hotel rooms, nearly 60 meeting rooms, and large event spaces. Here, board meetings, conferences, corporate events, dinners, and festive arrangements take place year-round.

We are now looking for extra and seasonal chefs who want to become part of our kitchen team during periods when the pace is at its highest. Perhaps you are studying, have another job, or are looking for a seasonal position. Regardless, we are looking for you who enjoy cooking with quality and want to work together with an engaged team.

My name is Bobo Bergström and I am the Head Chef at Skogshem & Wijk. For me, quality, collaboration, and joy in work are important parts of everyday life. We work with high ambitions, but also with great respect for each other and a desire to develop together.

Here, we cook from scratch with a focus on quality, good ingredients, and variety. One day we serve lunch to conference guests, the next day we produce a festive dinner for several hundred people or an exclusive dinner for a smaller management group. It is precisely this variety that makes the work so enjoyable.

The Role

As an extra or seasonal chef, you will become an important part of our kitchen team. You will work together with the head chef and your colleagues to deliver high-quality food experiences, whether it involves conference lunches, banquets, or larger events.

You will, among other things:

  • Prepare food with a focus on quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Work with both lunch, dinner, and event production.
  • Contribute to the kitchen maintaining high quality and good hygiene.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen, restaurant, and other departments.
  • Work structured even when the pace is high.

We are looking for you who

  • Have education or experience as a chef.
  • Have a genuine interest in food and a high quality mindset.
  • Are responsible, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are a team player who contributes to a positive work environment.
  • Speak Swedish or English.

With us, you get

Amazing colleagues who are welcoming, professional, and inclusive.

We are a family business where personal engagement is important and where quality permeates everything we do. Decision-making paths are short, and we help each other across departmental boundaries when needed.

Skogshem & Wijk is a place created for meetings with well-being, tradition, and quality in a learning environment on the beautiful Elfvikslandet on Lidingö.

We offer:

  • Collective agreements.
  • Health benefits.
  • Free access to the gym.
  • Access to osteopaths and doctors.
  • Favorable prices within the industry.

About the position

We are looking for both extra and seasonal staff.

The work involves day, evening, and weekend shifts, and the position suits you who want to work flexibly based on the company's needs. The extent varies depending on the season and occupancy.

Selection and interviews take place continuously, so do not wait with your application.

I look forward to hearing from you who want to become part of our team and contribute to creating memorable food experiences for our guests.

Bobo Bergström, Head Chef
