The County Administrative Board is the government's representative in the county and coordinates regional development work. We deal with issues such as environmental and nature conservation, rural affairs, urban planning, animal welfare, emergency preparedness, gender equality, integration, and cultural heritage. The Emergency Preparedness Unit
We are a unit in strong growth. Society's demands for robustness and the ability to handle crises are increasing, and we are therefore growing with new competencies and employees. Here, you will help shape future work on crisis preparedness and total defense planning at the regional level. We are building structures, working methods, and collaborations that will withstand both today's and tomorrow's challenges.
The Implementation Function
The Implementation Function works with recurring processes aimed at ensuring the county's preparedness and maintaining current decision-making support.
The Implementation Function is responsible for maintaining the County Administrative Board's capability as a preparedness authority with geographical area responsibility at the regional level. This involves both internal and external handling and evaluation of incidents. It also involves coordinating and supporting actors in the county to contribute to regional development.
The Implementation Function is also responsible for training and exercises aimed at developing internal and external capabilities.
Job Responsibilities
As a Preparedness Case Worker in the Implementation Function, the work involves tasks that are part of the County Administrative Board's role as a preparedness authority and in accordance with the activities described above. It involves working to maintain and develop existing capabilities and may include, among other things:
- Case processing
- Supporting municipalities, authorities, and other actors in their preparedness work
- Work with exercises, training, and collaboration forums
- Work on maintaining the County Administrative Board's crisis management capability
Other job responsibilities within the employer's area of operation may also occur.
The work offers a large network with specialized competencies in other units within the County Administrative Board's own operations, interspersed with contacts with the county's municipalities, other county administrative boards, central authorities, etc.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- Relevant academic education or other experience that we assess as equivalent
- Experience in crisis preparedness, nuclear emergency preparedness, total defense, or related areas through work or education
It is meritorious if you have worked in the public sector or in complex collaboration environments.
It is meritorious if you have experience in one or more parts of the function's mandate, as described above.
As a person, you should be good at meeting new tasks, both independently and in a group, and appreciate working from a shorter time perspective. You should be open to meeting tasks of different character, which may involve both case processing and giving lectures. You should be accommodating, unpretentious, and able to express yourself well both orally and in writing.
