About the company

We are one of Sweden's most successful handball clubs with an established men's team in the Handbollsligan – one of the most successful in recent decades. The ambition is clear: in the near future, our women's team will also play in the top division. With approx. 700 active youth players, a broad club life, and strong community engagement, we are now building a more modern, forward-looking organization – and you will become a central part of this journey.

Job description

As Marketing and Communications Manager, you are the hub of how Alingsås HK is perceived – in the arena, digitally, and in the city. You create Sweden's best match events, increase attendance figures, and strengthen the club's identity. You will make the audience long for the arenas and turn matchdays into something people talk about – not just attend. You take a holistic approach to how Alingsås HK is experienced and told about – whether it is matchday in the arena, a post in the feed, or a conversation with a supporter. It is about making everything fit together: the event, the communication, the relationships, and the story of the club – from our two elite teams to the youth operations, the Potato Cup, and community projects. Some administrative tasks related to the office's daily work are also included.

Qualifications

You feel the power of sports and events – how they unite people, create energy, and build pride. You understand that a club is more than its elite teams; it is people, relationships, and engagement built in the handball halls every day. You thrive in environments where people help each other and build something together. Experience in event production and digital marketing is a plus. You are a good communicator and can create engaging content. You are a natural relationship builder and have an easy way of creating trust – but above all: are you an executor who takes ownership and drives things from idea to goal in a structured and efficient way. You have strong social competence, you are curious, and you enjoy rolling up your sleeves when needed.
