Our reception is a very important place. It is where visitors have their first encounter with our operations and serves as the hub for information and service. As an employee here, you are the museum's face to the outside world, with the primary task of ensuring our visitors have a pleasant experience and want to return.

Responsibilities:

We are now looking for more hourly museum hosts for our museum in Linköping. You will be part of our team working with hospitality and sales. You will welcome visitors, provide clear guidance on the museum's content and offerings, and work with sales in the museum shop. The role includes booking, ordering, sales, and cash register duties. In addition to hospitality at the reception desk and sales in the shop, the following tasks are included:

• Cleaning of the reception and shop.
• Polishing display cases and preparing/cleaning the museum's exhibitions before opening.
• Receiving visitors at museum events.
• Supporting program activities and conferences.
• Acting as a museum host at children's birthday parties.
• Leading creative activities and programs for children in our atelier.

The following tasks may be added if you have the interest and competence:

• Conducting guided tours.
• Acting as a museum host at children's birthday parties.

As a museum host, you will collaborate with the museum's other staff. You will primarily work weekends, as well as evenings when the museum has evening opening hours and evening events. Work during weekdays may also occur if needed. Work at our museum courtyards may also take place on a few occasions per year.

Qualifications:

You preferably have a higher education or university education in tourism and service, teacher or preschool teacher education, or other equivalent education deemed equivalent by the employer, where the education needs to be started, but you do not need to have a degree completed.

We are looking for you who enjoy meeting and helping people. You may have an interest in history, art, or culture, but this is not a requirement. You are a structured and responsible person with a service-oriented mindset. Hospitality and flexibility are a natural part of your daily work. Business-like conduct and teamwork skills are also necessary to perform the job well.

Good language skills in both Swedish and English are required.

Merits: Interest in working with children and young people in the museum's youth activities.

Other: The positions are hourly employment based on need.
