The primary school/adapted primary school operation is part of the Education Administration. The operation covers 21 primary schools as well as adapted primary school, and the total number of students is approx. 4,500. Four of the primary schools are upper secondary schools, while the others, with a few exceptions, cover grades F-6. The operation also includes after-school centers.

Mariebergsskolan is a school for everyone as it accommodates from preschool class to grade 9 together with adapted primary school. At Mariebergsskolan, students, parents, and staff experience safety, trust, and community. The goal of the operation is that everyone should succeed based on their prerequisites, and the foundation for this is a positive school climate, staff commitment, and pedagogical skill. The school is characterized by very good cohesion, a warm climate, and dedicated teachers where we stand up for each other and help each other so that everyone can reach as far as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school psychologist, you contribute psychological competence to the promoting, preventive, and remedial work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Together with educators, students, and guardians, you carry out pedagogically oriented interventions that support students' cognitive, social, and emotional development. You contribute knowledge about students' health, learning, and development to support students' development towards the goals. You supervise staff and conduct investigations and assessments of students, groups, and the organization. In the role, you are responsible for investigating and establishing the diagnosis of intellectual disability as part of the school's work regarding the right to adapted school. You are also responsible for healthcare referrals and handling of referrals for individual students. Furthermore, you document interventions in a designated journal system.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and who want to contribute to a health-promoting, preventive, and supportive student health service.

You have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. A driver's license is a requirement, and it is desirable that you have access to your own car, as the position involves work in the Western Area where Mariebergsskolan, Smedsby School, and Nykyrka School are included.

It is meritorious if you have experience of working within student health services or with children and young people.

As a person, you are secure in your professional role and have integrity. You can make independent assessments, stand by your professional stances, and act constructively even in complex or uncertain situations.

You have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Through an attentive and non-hierarchical approach, you contribute to good collaboration and work towards common goals.

You have good analytical skills and can see both the big picture and details. You identify connections, make well-founded assessments, and contribute with solutions that are sustainable over time. You enjoy working in complex contexts and use your psychological competence to support students' development, learning, and well-being.

Salary: Monthly salary.
