Do you want to launch our joint elderly care clinic?
Welcome to Vadstena Health Centre and Marieberg Health Centre, which have been a joint operational area since April 2025. This change aims to provide a robust operation that is equipped to handle the demographic challenges we face in the future.
The operations currently have a total of approximately 16,000 registered patients and a staff of approximately 65 employees.
Job Description
We are looking for someone who is interested in driving and developing the work at the health centre together with us, using new digital technology and involving patients from a person-centred approach.
This is a shared position where you, together with district doctors and doctors at various stages of their training in both Marieberg and Vadstena, will help create the new joint organisation.
We want to work with close care, drive collaborations with other actors to create good patient-oriented care, and this position is directed towards elderly care and SÄBO (specialised housing with special care) to launch a joint elderly care clinic.
There is a chief physician employed who, together with the medical group, works to create a good working environment, with both group and individual perspectives, find new ways to create good patient safety and teamwork with all professional categories. Currently, there are 6.5 permanent district doctors at the two health centres, and together we have 5 ST-doctors (specialist trainees), as well as licensed doctors/UL-doctors.
We offer a good work climate with professional employees working in well-functioning teams. We believe you will appreciate the ability to switch between the advantages of the small health centre with short decision-making paths and close collaboration with all employees, to the slightly larger Health Centre in Motala, with a training clinic under its roof. We value your development and competence, and therefore you are offered continuous further education. The health centre's doctors also participate in primary and back-shift duties for the western part of the county during on-call hours.
Education and Experience
The requirement for the position is that you are a specialist in general medicine or another specialist in a related specialty such as geriatrics or internal medicine, with an interest in general medicine that the employer deems equivalent. You have a Swedish medical license (to be attached to the application) and Swedish language skills corresponding to level Swedish C1. You have good communication skills with patients, colleagues, and other operations. Experience of primary care is meritorious.
Personal Qualities
As a person, you are social, confident in yourself, and have personal maturity. You collaborate easily and have a good ability to structure your work. You are highly committed to the general medical approach, and preferably have a special interest in our elderly patients and their specific needs. You contribute to a good work climate with a positive and professional attitude where you work in teams, solve challenges together, and act in accordance with decisions, policies, and guidelines. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
Application and Employment
Permanent employment with start date as agreed. The employment rate is 100%, but if there is a desire for another percentage distribution, it can be discussed. With placement at Marieberg Health Centre. Start date as agreed.
The application must contain a fully completed merit summary for doctors, which you can find here. This must be verified. Do not forget to also attach a copy of your degree certificate or license.
We work with ongoing selection and interviews will also take place on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
In connection with employment in a patient-oriented role within Region Östergötland, you will be asked to fill out a health declaration.
We warmly welcome your application! If you need help registering in the system, contact customer service Support and Service, 010-103 60 00, during office hours.
